Welcome at Cemetery of Bob !

Cemetery of Bob is a challenging roguelike auto-battler focused on tactical aspect of gameplay.

Recruit your army of undead

Choose between dead creatures and make them fight for your cause. Every character has unique abilities that can be activated by putting it in front or in back of the lane. Undead have both strengths and weaknesses, which encourages you to look for synergies. Use your strengths and overcome your weaknesses to secure victory over Bob.

Defend cemetery from your opponents

Fight against mythical creatures and army of humans. Opponent and place are very important in this game. Your cemetery is divided into 3 lanes where combat takes place at the same time. Gather knowledge about your opponent to know which undead can deal with him. Depending on which lanes you win, you will earn the appropriate currency.

Upgrade your army

  • Need undead for your army ? Buy new one at Zero's shop for bones.
  • Do you need to level up your undead ? You can do this at Elizabeth's shop for some blood.
  • Or maybe you lack of items ? Visit Charon, he always has something shiny to buy with coins.

Key Features:

  • Fight against randomly generated enemies
  • Choose beetween many unique characters to build your army of undead
  • Find synergy between undead and item

What's coming next ?

  • A proper tutorial with story mode (there is still no Bob in the game but he is in my head so don't worry...)
  • more mythical creatures
  • more undeads
  • more items
  • more tactical gameplay :D

Manual:

Since there is no proper tutorial yet and gameplay is not self-explanatory, I am posting the manual here. The tutorial will be coming in the next patch, so if you hate manuals, first of all, we have something in common, and secondly, I'm sorry but you'll have to wait a little longer.

There are 3 currencies in this game:

  • blood
  • bones
  • coins

You receive currency when you win/draw/lose (3/2/1) the line representing the currency. You can look at the banners if you are looking for information on what currency you will receive.

You start the game at Zero's shop where you can buy undeads for bones. By clicking on the grave (LMB) you can check the abilities of the character you want to buy, and then by clicking (RMB) you can place the undead in the position of your choice.

Remember that abilities are only active when the undead is in the correct position and has a high enough level. For example, in this case I placed the werewolf in front of the mid lane, so I activated the Bite ability (level 1):

The Revenge ability (Top right corner)  will remain inactive until the Werewolf is at least level 3, so for now the Werewolf only has one ability - Bite (Level 1). You cannot change the undead's place unless you are in Elizabeth's shop, where there is a miracle to do so. Be careful where you place your undeads.

The next step is to choose what will approach your cemetery next.

You can also check the map, which sometimes gives more information about events. This is also considered a preview of the next events available when other events are taking place

There are 5 types of events that can occur:

1. Fight Monsters:

When you click the "Fight Monsters" event, a random encounter will occur. By clicking on the grave (LMB) you can choose which line the fight will take place on:

2. Fight Humans:

The human army improves after each fight with your army. You can check the status of the army of people in each room by clicking on them here:

Unlike fighting monsters, fighting humans always happens on all lanes at once. This is also the only time you can lose health. Every time you lose lane to humans, they will destroy your grave in that lane. If the health of the graves reaches 0, they will harm your health bar:

If your health bar reaches 0, the game is over.

Each time your undead dies (again :D), it will go to the portal:

And it will stay there for some time. When it comes back from the dead (again) it will stay next to the portal ready to be placed back on the lane.

3. Buy Miracle:

When you click "Buy Miracle" event,  you will enter Elizabeth's Shop where you can repair your grave, reposition your undeads, or level up your undead for blood.

4. Buy Undead:

The same event you see when you select your first undead at the start of the game, but the undead cost increases with each undead in your army.

5. Buy Item:

By clicking on the "Buy Item" event, you will enter Charon's Shop, where you can purchase items with coins. You buy an item by clicking on the item grave (LMB) and then clicking on one of item slots (RMB). By clicking slot with item already on it, you destroy previous item.

Aaaaaand this is it. Good luck and have fun because this is the most important part here :)

Nice game, kind of hard but with enough practice and luck you can win.

Thank you, I'm glad you beat the game so quickly. Do you have any suggestions about the gameplay ?

Since I don't know the exact vison you have for the game I'll just give my ideas and thought since I like games that can be played more than once. 1. You should for sure add a difficulty selection (Something to change unit pricing and tone down enemy power kind of like a beginner mode for learning) since it seems the current state of play is a bit on the harder side for newer players to pick up, this would allow people to play just the base game (If you ever plan on adding challenge runs like all zombie units or modifiers) multiple times trying to beat old high scores and learning new tricks as they ease themselves into new difficulty sets. 2. I feel Blood is a bit lacking after a certain point in the game once you know best unit placements and you max out all the levels for them, maybe a blood over shield for tombstones or something very pricey would make it more interesting. 3. As for the rest of the game I feel you have an amazing base structure and grasp at what makes games of this genre good, enemy units are challenging, you have future units, mobs, and items planned, and I'll for sure be there to beat the game again and give feedback. Thanks for taking the time to give this a read and have a great day/night.

Thank you very much for your feedback.

1. I want to add a progression system that slowly increases the difficulty to make sure more players can enjoy the game. If that's not enough, I'll have to add something similar to your answer to this problem (difficulty slider).

2. I totally agree. Blood doesn't make much sense in the end game. I have some ideas on how to fix this, but they're not ready yet ;)

3. You don't even know how much these words mean to me. You are the first stranger who said something nice about my project. Thank you very much.

Have a great day/night :)
